The world’s first and only hearing solution to directly vibrate the eardrum

We are proud to be a provider of Earlens®, the world’s first and only hearing solution to directly vibrate the eardrum. Earlens delivers more complete sound than any acoustic hearing aid, and a bandwidth that is associated with more natural sound quality and better hearing in noise.

In Earlens, a Processor worn behind the ear sends an audio signal through the Ear Tip to a custom Lens that rests directly on the eardrum. When the eardrum receives the signal, it gently vibrates the eardrum to activate the ear’s natural hearing system.

But research has shown that those lower and higher frequencies impact sound quality and speech understanding, especially in noisy environments.

Patients’ most frequently asked questions regarding ClariFix® cryotherapy.

What is ClariFix® cryotherapy?

ClariFix® cryotherapy is a treatment that utilizes cold temperatures to stop the source of chronic rhinitis symptoms.

How does it work?

Chronic rhinitis symptoms are caused by out-of-balance nerves, which may be sending too many signals to your nose, telling it to drip, run and swell more than necessary. Using cryotherapy, the ClariFix® device delivers cold temperatures to these out-of-balance nerves in the back of the nose, interrupting the signals and reducing your symptoms.

How long until I will see an improvement?

Most patients begin to see improvement between 2 and 6 weeks post-treatment.

What kind of results can I expect?

In a clinical study, patients reported a significant decrease in runny nose and nasal congestion with 4 out of 5 patients reporting long-lasting symptom relief.

How long does the treatment take?

You can typically expect to spend about an hour in our office.

What does the treatment feel like?

You may experience slight pressure, a cooling sensation in the nose and/or around the molars, or some discomfort during and/or after the treatment.

What can I expect during the treatment?

Your doctor will start by numbing the nose with anesthetic. The ClariFix® device is then placed in the back of the nose, and the cold therapy is applied.

Is there downtime?

Most patients typically return to normal activity the same day. As with any nasal treatment, you may experience increased sensitivity, congestion, and some discomfort after the treatment.

What are the side effects?

The most common side effects associated with ClariFix® cryotherapy are temporary increased congestion and transient pain or discomfort.
Adverse events were those usually associated with post-cryosurgery in nasal passageways and included: pain/discomfort, headache, facial pain, bleeding, dry nose, ear blockage. By day 90, symptoms had either resolved or rated as mild.

Should I continue my current medications after treatment with ClariFix® cryotherapy?

Your doctor will discuss your current medications with you and determine a treatment plan specific to you.

Can I be treated with ClariFix® cryotherapy if I’ve had a previous sinus surgery?

Your doctor will discuss your medical history with you, including previous surgeries and determine a treatment plan specific to you.

Is the ClariFix® cryotherapy device FDA cleared?

Yes, the ClariFix Device is cleared by the FDA.

FDA Indication: The ClariFix Device intended to be used as a cryosurgical tool for the destruction of unwanted tissue during surgical procedures, including in adults with chronic rhinitis.

Constant runny, stuffy nose? We have a treatment for that. Don’t just live with it, fix it!

ClarifixMore than 24 million Americans suffer from frequent inflammation of the nose called chronic rhinitis, which causes your nose to drip, run, and swell more than it should.

This can be caused by out-of-balance nasal nerves sending too many signals to the nose, telling it to drip, run and swell more than necessary. The nerves may be stimulated by allergens or irritants in the air, changes in weather, medications, certain foods, or chronic health conditions.

ClariFix® is a minimally invasive, in-office cooling treatment that allows doctors to fix chronic rhinitis. It’s convenient and provides lasting improvement!

The ClariFix® solution is the first and only FDA cleared device for adults with chronic rhinitis. ClariFix® cryotherapy goes to the root of the problem – the inflamed nasal lining and the underlying nerves – for lasting symptom relief.

The device delivers freezing cold temperatures to the out-of-balance nerves in the back of the nose, interrupting the signals and stopping the source of runny, stuffy nose symptoms.

A clinical study demonstrated a significant decrease in runny nose and congestion symptoms, with 4 out of 5 patients reporting long-lasting relief after ClariFix® cryotherapy!

Enjoy Life Without Tissues
After receiving ClariFix® cryotherapy, patients report a reduction in runny and stuffy nose symptoms.

Available In-Office
Treatment can typically be done in a doctor’s office with local anesthesia.

Minimal Downtime
Most patients return to normal activity the same day with minimal post-treatment care.

The most common side effects associated with ClariFix® cryotherapy are temporary increased congestion and transient pain or discomfort.

We are so happy we chose Midwest ENT for our daughter's hearing loss.  Dr. Brewer is her audiologist and he is so great with her.  He talks to her and has had her involved with her hearing aid from the very beginning.  We never feel rushed and left feeling like we knew how to manage this but also left knowing we had a whole team supporting us should questions come up.  Her ENT, Dr. Scott, is pretty great too!  Would definitely recommend.
– Alyssa Anderson

My mom is 96 years old...she has awesome hearing aids and very acommodating service. Her hearing is very important since she lost her eyesight through glaucoma 2 years ago.   Midwest ENT is a friendly, highly organized office..I can just walk in and purchase mom's batteries and covers with no problem.  If it's a bad day for mom to come from her nursing home to the office,  rescheduling has always been done graciously! Easy access for mom's wheelchair. Thank you Midwest ENT!
