Midwest ENT is a wonderful medical facility. I recently needed to see Dr. Tamura in short notice to look at my condition. They worked with me and got me an appointment in a reasonable time frame. All very kind to talk to. They are on schedule there and already know what tests are needed to be ready for the doctor. Ultrasound was very smooth and Dr. Tamura was even hands on for ultrasound. They allowed questions and answered with care. He had read my history and was knowledgeable right away. He gave me the time I needed even during a time he actually squeezed me in. I tried not to take more than necessary but I’m sure I probably did. He chose the right profession. Not only is he knowledgeable in his field but his gift is how he genuinely cares about you. You should feel cared for and get recommendations on your health in terminology you understand. Midwest ENT showed me at my visit what good healthcare is about.

Dr. Tamura fit our son in very last minute with a very inflamed tonsil when his primary in Brookings wanted him to have someone else look at them. He fit us in his busy schedule the next morning. He was super kind, knowledgeable and we were blown away with how fast they fit us in. We then followed up a month later for a hearing test and follow up on fluid in our son’s ears and we were very impressed with his kindness and knowledge again. He will be doing our son’s tubes and adenoids at the end of the year and it is so nice that he can do surgery in Brookings. We would 100% recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Tamura listened to my explanation of symptoms. He asked questions about my symptoms and health history to better understand my concerns. He performed an in office exam with a small flexible scope to visibly examine the sinuses that could be viewed by this scope. Dr. Tamura explained each part of the exam. He paraphrased what I had said. Offered one course of treatment. And said if I was still having symptoms after this treatment what the next exam would involve. Dr. Tamura is personable and friendly. He treated me like an individual. He demonstrated an interesting and dedication to bring relief and healing to my medical issue.

Seeing Dr. Tamura, M.D. for the first time was overall a good experience. I was referred to Midwest ENT and I was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly, within two weeks I believe. The desk clerk, Sue, is friendly, personable, patient, a kind woman who did an excellent job checking me in as a new patient. It took a little bit considering I was a new patient and at one point the computer and printer didn't want to cooperate, nonetheless, she kept her calm. I was appreciative of her assistance and patience as other patients were coming into the practice needing to check in. I found Dr. Tamura to also be friendly, personable, approachable, knowledgeable, understanding of my concerns and most importantly, willing to help me. He took time to listen and allowed me to tell him my story. He also performed an examination. It was refreshing being allowed to explain my story and my current concerns as I have oftentimes not been believed or dismissed altogether, causing further delay in diagnosis, proper treatment and ultimately better quality of life. He was able to retrieve my medical history from another facility and together with my questions and concerns he came up with a plan to hopefully help make a more accurate diagnosis and then perhaps provide the right treatment plan for me. Dr. Tamura has great bedside manner with my child and takes the time to answer questions. He isn’t opposed to a conservative approach when it’s warranted and we trust his judgement. Very calm and collective.
